From VP of Public Relations to President

I am excited to report that this evening I was unanamously voted in to be President of the Tampa Bay Toastmasters club 4272. It is an honor and a great challenge to have at the same time. As President, I will get to start and end every meeting and gain valuable leadership skills. As a coach and mentor, it is a great thing to have on my resume. I have big plans for our club. Mainly, driving up membership, keeping our meetings fun and exciting, and having a synergy that will be hard to top. I… Continue

The Seder at FHUMC

After more that two months in preparation, the big event was held last night on Maundy Thursday, also the second night of Passover 2009. For one thing, large containers of ground horseradish do not exist in Tampa, FL, and the only grocery that carries whole horseradish root is the WalMart grocery. Poor Ann spent the… Continue

Holy Week is upon us...

I want to wish you all a blessed Easter and Holy Week. Throughout the Lenten season I have been reading a book called One Month to Live by Kerry & Chris Shook. It is a 30 day, chapter a day book, that challenges us to lead a no regrets life. There are some workbooks, DVD's and other resources that make good companion pieces if you want to use it for a seminar series. There are also some free downloads at www.TheOneMonthChallenge.com if some of you coaches out there want to check it… Continue

Interactive Job Interviewing Forum

I need your help! I am working on putting together an interactive job invterviewing workshop and want your input on some of the things I should include in it. I know the obvious which is interviewing questions and impromtu speaking which will help our future jobbers formulate thoughts and think on their feet. I think there is a real value here and want to possibly hold this workshop for at the bare minimum 1 hour to around 3 hours. Just to kind of give you some perspective. There are so many…See More

Who I am Makes a Difference

The intro got cut off by a few seconds. He was just saying about when we get those emails that are forwarded around the office. This is a great story about recognizing people for the efforts they make and how they make a difference in our lives.
